Michael James Berry, 39, and Natasha Renae Berry, 40, were arrested in Jackson County, Ohio, on June 9, just a day after holding Crothall Laundry employees at gunpoint, court documents show.

When leaving Crothall that day, Michael James Berry allegedly harassed employees who were on their break, according to a criminal complaint with Goodhue County. Then on June 7, when Michael James Berry came to ask if he could get his job back, Fisher informed the man also nicknamed "7" that he would not hire him due to the harassment from two days prior.

The next morning, Fisher said he saw Michael James Berry walk into the building and take a gun out of his backpack. Fisher alleged Michael James Berry walked down the hallway past him and put a clip into the handheld AR 15.

Fisher asked Tina Royal, the general manager, to call the police. The complaint then says Michael James Berry said, "you aren't going anywhere and you aren't calling anyone." Michael James Berry ordered Fisher, Royal and three other employees into the breakroom.

Fisher and Royal both stated they felt in danger, with Royal stating that Michael James Berry was angry and desperate.

Michael James Berry's wife, Natasha Renae Berry, came to the door and said it was time to leave. The couple left and drove off in a silver Ford SUV.

Michael James Berry faces felony kidnapping, threats of violence, and false imprisonment charges. Natasha Renae Berry faces felony kidnapping, threats of violence, false imprisonment and aiding an offender to avoid arrest charges.

A bail hearing was held on Oct. 5, with bail set at $500,000 for Michael James Berry and $100,000 for Natasha Renae Berry.

An omnibus hearing will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 24 at the Goodhue County Courthouse.
